With the consistent developments in the Indian startup ecosystem, more and more women are chasing the entrepreneurial dream and flourishing in their ventures. This is empowering other Indian women who are still confined to the traditional homemaker role to think for themselves. India’s Silicon Valley, Bengaluru, ranked 40th, while Delhi was at 49th place.
There are many inspiring young women entrepreneurs in India. Here is a brief about all 29 Indian women entrepreneurs under 30 who have achieved success and made a significant impact in their respective fields:
- Roshni Nadar Malhotra – CEO of HCL Corporation, a technology company founded by her father, Shiv Nadar. She is one of the youngest women to lead a billion-dollar company.
- Divya Gokulnath – Co-founder of Byju’s, one of the largest ed-tech companies in India. She started the company with her husband, Byju Raveendran, in 2011.
- Aditi Gupta – Co-founder of Menstrupedia, an online platform that aims to educate people about menstrual health. She was also named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 in 2016.
- Saumya Bhatnagar – Co-founder of Tjori, an online platform that sells handmade products from Indian artisans. The company has raised over $1.5 million in funding so far.
- Anisha Singh – Founder and CEO of Mydala, an online platform that offers discounts on various services, including spa treatments and restaurants. She was also named one of Fortune India’s 40 under 40 in 2014.
- Bhavish Aggarwal – Co-founder and CEO of Ola, one of the largest ride-hailing companies in India. He started the company with Ankit Bhati in 2010.
- Suchi Mukherjee – Founder and CEO of LimeRoad, an online marketplace that sells fashion and lifestyle products. The company has raised over $50 million in funding so far.
- Suhas Gopinath – Founder of Globals Inc., an IT company that he started at the age of 14. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders community.
